Bespoke Toilet Transfer Aid for Greater Independence
Mr Murray requires a specialised toilet transfer aid due to limited grip and the need to hook his arm around a support. Following a bathroom reconfiguration, the previous floor-to-ceiling pole was no longer in a suitable position.
Vic Brown adapted a drop-down arm support with a vertical folding post, allowing Mr Murray to safely stabilise himself while transferring. The post can be folded away when not in use, and the arm support was raised and extended to suit his reach. Foam padding and wipeable surfaces ensure comfort and hygiene.
The solution now allows Mr Murray to transfer safely and independently, tailored precisely to his needs and expert knowledge of his condition.
