Keeping the Music Playing
Caroline is an active saxophonist and music teacher, but a back condition was making it increasingly difficult to carry her tenor saxophone to rehearsals and performances. After a previous successful REMAP adaptation to her alto saxophone case, she asked if the same approach could be used for her heavier tenor instrument.
REMAP volunteers reinforced the case and fitted sturdy wheels, creating a durable, easy-to-maneuver solution that reduced the strain of transporting the instrument.
The adaptation has enabled Caroline to continue performing with her local bands and teaching music independently. She was delighted with the result, saying it had allowed her to keep playing when she feared she might have to give it up.
